my best friend has a brother who has downs and he is the happiest most content boy ever. they said whaen he was born he would probably only live to be 13 beacause he had several things wrong with him. he is now 23 and showing no signs of slowing down!! life hasnt been easy for them, he has countless operaions, my friend never got much attention as a kid but they were both loved at the end of the day.
i think i have seen that book. i almost bought it but had no moey but now i really want to read it! i cant imagine that happening to anyone, the poor birth mother must have been heart broken !!
i am a catholic so abortion is banned in my religion but personally i believe in free will. for me abortion is the mothers choice, and if she feels she cant cope, thats her decision and at the end of the day its her who is going to have t live with it. i personally would never abort but then thats just my preferance.
i think you are so brave for taking the risk despite the slim chance your baby could have been downs. if god intends you to care for a down baby he must think you are capable.
